Sistema 25 Solera

Just as it is known from the distinguished Spanish sherry wines, this rum is aged for up to 25 years in the solera system. A rum that is so packed with flavor and complexity that it should be enjoyed with a spoon and a delicious piece of dark chocolate. Hold on, it’s nailed spot on.

The rum has a dark golden color. It exudes freshly roasted coffee beans, a myriad of ripe tropical fruits, dark chocolate and concentrated Madagascar vanilla, which knit it all together into a well-proportioned rum on the nose. At the first mouthful, the rum glides over the tongue, with a velvety and opulent mouthfeel. The taste is followed by a not so easily sneaking explosion of dates, sultanas, caramel, black cherries and warm spices in the form of cinnamon and cloves, which rush across the tongue. Whoops! A persistent, complex and totally irresistible aftertaste, with nuances of cinnamon-baked apples, more dark chocolate composed for a perfect balance of depth, moderate sweetness and alcohol.

Raise a glass then. Drink it now, perhaps as a glass by itself. with a few drops of water or some ice cubes. Or serve it with strong chocolate desserts such as Gateau Marcel.
